Barkers’ SlideGuard is the ideal alternative where swing gates aren’t feasible due to space restrictions or the area behind is on an incline. Clever design makes them high performing, easy to install and suitable for a wide range of industries. All Barkers’ gates are compliant with all the current safety standards when they leave the factory. They will arrive with you ready to bolt down, if they are automatic simply plug into power and away you go.

Our products can be installed without tracks across a gate entrance, meaning that uneven ground, block paving, grass, gravel and even water are no problem. Gates glide along rollers fixed to hidden concrete foundations to protect hardware from the elements and ensure reliable, smooth and virtually silent execution. The internal roller mechanism ensures a smooth and consistent ease of operation providing a durable and efficient service for years to come.

Barkers’ cantilever gates are also surprisingly versatile. The standard round tube infill can be replaced with options such as D or W profile palisade pales, timber panels, solid sheeting and mesh to perfectly integrate with all of our fence range or existing fences.

All our cantilever gates are manufactured and assembled in house to the relevant British standards, guaranteeing that you receive the highest quality product and exceptional service. To ensure cantilever gates match your fencing aesthetic and functional needs, each gate is manufactured bespoke to order.

Automatic gates will operate at around 3 seconds per metre depending on the size and infills on the gate. With safety a priority, all of our automatic gates come with safety edges and photo cells to detect anything in the way of the closing gate, as well as fully compliant to BS/EN 12453.
