Eric Wright Group provides construction, civil engineering, property development and facilities management services to a wide range of sectors, including industrial, education, renewable energy, reservoirs, water management and rail.

A recent project saw the group work with an education client for the build of brand-new student accommodation at St George’s Quay in Lancaster. In the early construction stages, it became evident that two site boundaries, separated by a road, needed to be secured to deter and prevent unauthorised access, and reduce the risk of vandalism, theft or endangerment.

Eric Wright Group had a very short time frame to install a demarcation solution in order to remain on track with the project, so not only needed a high quality and effective solution but needed a supplier that could quickly jump into action.

Through Wallbank Fencing Ltd – an installation contractor – the group was introduced to us. We went on to recommend our VGuard mesh fencing system as better alternative to frequently used timber hoarding boundaries to lower the upfront cost. More importantly for building sites – which rapidly evolve as building progresses – mesh can be easily dismantled and re-used either on site, or at other projects.

Eric Wright Group decided on 637 metres of VGuard, which was delivered and installed within just two weeks. The panels and posts were powder coated in black and orange – the corporate colours – at our Staffordshire plant.

The group, its employees and the surrounding public can now enjoy the peace of mind that the site perimeter is secure from encroachment and that health and safety requirements are met.
